- Just about an hour and a half from Athens, you can visit the town of Nemea, which is one of the most famous areas, for wine orchards, and taste the exquisite “nectar of the Gods”.
- The island of Santorini, has an award winning reputation, for its wineries and orchards, because of the weather and location of the groves, that are situated on high hills which later descend.
- The city of Athens is very well known for its friendly people, and cosmopolitan shops, and hotels. Have your coffee at the Grand Bretagne hotel downtown. Luxurious service, and prices prevail, if elegance and a “Casablanca” atmosphere is for you.
- Many cafes and side streets can be found at Plaka. Here you are close to ancient ruins as well as being able to sip your “frapuccino” or enjoy a Greek night in a restaurant in Plaka.
- Visit the Ledra Marriott Hotel and dine at the Kona Kai restaurant. Thai and Philippine delicacies here will entrance you.
- Another great idea is to go the the Soho restaurant in Athens, located at the Keramikos station at Psyrri. Here you will see fabulous live music entertainment, and great drinks on Thursdays.Very good prices are in store here, not to mention the tantalizing of your palate.
- Visit the Archaeological Museum of the Acropolis, and take a step back to the ancient times of this great city of Athens.
- Visit the Parthenon, and you will be in awe when in front of the beauty and architecture of this enormous temple.
- The weather in Athens in September is very mild and enables travelers, to see many archaeological sites, located in the downtown area, not to mention great shopping opportunities, such as the stores at Monastiraki. Here you can find great bargains, for antique furniture, and anything else you can imagine.
